There was talk that the exhibition had never been larger and that the interest of companies in this sector in the American market is rapidly growing.

The largest North American seafood exhibition, The Seafood Expo North America, concluded on March 12. The two-day exhibition was well attended, with many Icelandic representatives in attendance.

Business Iceland organized a national booth in the "Seafood" section of the exhibition, where five companies jointly displayed under the banner of Iceland. These were Icelandic Trademark Holding ehf, Iceland Pelagic, Iceland Responsible Fisheries, Matorka, and VSV Seafood Iceland. The companies had productive days at the exhibition and held numerous client meetings. Several other Icelandic companies also had booths at the location, including Eimskip, Wisefish, Arnarlax, and Icefresh.

The Ambassador of Iceland to Canada, Hlynur Guðjónsson, and the new Trade Representative of Iceland in the United States, Einar Hansen Tómasson, manned the Icelandic exhibition area along with Business Iceland staff. Those who have been to the show previously say that the exhibition has never been more extensive and that the interest of companies in this sector in the American market is rapidly growing.

Below are some photos from the event.
