The pre-competition of the Creative Business Cup in Iceland was held on April 5 at Gróska in collaboration with Klak and Business Iceland. The winners will represent Iceland in Copenhagen and compete in the final competition hosted by Business Iceland. The 2024 winner was Knittable (Lykkjustund in Icelandic). Nanna Einarsdóttir, the founder and CEO of the company, who accepted the award, says that, "Knittable revolutionizes the knitting world and opens new doors for great design ideas. It makes knitting much easier for knitters and removes much of the tedious repetition in calculating." Six companies participated this year, and each one was outstanding:

The panel of judges included:

  • Haukur Guðjónsson, founder of Sundra and who competed on behalf of Iceland in the Creative Business Cup 2023

  • Hrönn Greipsdóttir, CEO of the Innovation Fund of the Icelandic Confederation of Labour

  • Sigríður Heimisdóttir, designer at Hugvit og hönnun
